Evansville,Indiana… The Southwestern Indiana Chamber of Commerce has named VNA Plus Home Care & Hospice as its 2012 Not-For-Profit Organization of the Year. Nominated by VNA Plus Board of Directors member, Freida Henneberger, the application was reviewed by a committee of independent judges, and VNA Plus was chosen as the winner from among a record number of applicants. The award was presented during a special ceremony held in conjunction with the Chamber’s annual Tri-State Business Expo.
One week after receiving the Chamber award, VNA Plus was also recognized with the 2012 Celebration of Leadership Award for Business/Organization Leadership in the Health & Social Service category. This award honored the Agency’s hospice program, which since its inception in 1992, has served more than 7,500 terminally ill patients and families. For 17 years, Leadership Evansville has sought out and paid tribute to individuals, businesses, organizations and projects that make significant contributions to the community.
